We are regularly asked how best to treat the covering materials / nets so that they can last as long as possible. For this we have the following tips, in particular for the climate covers, pigeon nets and insect nets that lie over the crop.
During the growing season:
Lay the nets loose over the crop so that it can grow with the crop
Never walk across the cloths or nets
Do not allow the edges of the nets to grow in the weeds
Keep a sufficient distance with the tractor
After harvesting:
Make sure the nets are clean and dry
First bring the nets together in width and then roll them so quickly and compact as possible (possibly with the help of a winding machine)
Label the nets with the size and condition of the net
In winter:
Store the nets, preferably indoors.
If that is not possible then stack outside, off the ground and covered with a tarp against rain and sun.
Be careful with rodents, a single hole is enough to destroy a complete cloth or net.
Inventory during the winter regarding the new season. Not enough? Order on time
