The Suzuki fruit fly has been on the rise in recent years. That is bad news for grape growers who face serious damage to their crops. Fruits such as grapes, strawberries, currants, blackberries, cherries, plums are all at risk with this fruit fly around. Fruit pieces that appear to be intact can also be stubbornly affected. The females under the Suzuki fruit fly use ripening fruit as a nursery for their eggs. As a result, the fruit begins to rot over time.
The Drosophila suzukii mesh for grapes Ornata Air Plus 88102 has a small mesh size that this fruit fly cannot get through. The special thin wire and the elongated mesh provide extra light and air passage. We have developed two special dimensions for viticulture, namely the 1x100 m and 1x50 m with Velcro.
